Reconfigure a storage-node as server

For some reasons, we want to reconfigure a storage-node (Networker 7.1.4) to a Networker server.
How can I keep the indexes?
I think I have to recreate the clients, and copy the indexes from the old server to the right place, then restart daemons, or do a nsrck -L7 ?
Thanks for your answers.

Moving index db is not a problem as each client has it's own index db. However they all share same media db. With that in mind you have two options:
    - migrate old server to new one; remove from media index all clients you don't require and then restore index for those left
    - migrate old server to new one; recover index db and then remove everything you don't require

For migration, as I said before, check KB - or even this forum (especially endian thread if migrating to different platform - it might be even not possible).

What abou existing server? If you look in KB you will find how migrate server from one machine to another so you should apply those steps (after that you will just need to reconfigure library).

Thanks for your answer, but I want to get only some indexes for the storage-node.
(There is a WAN Network between the server and the storage-node, and I have to split them)

    Today: server "A" with 150 clients, storage-node "B" backing-up 10 clients

Tomorrow: server "A" with 140 clients, and server "B" with 10 clients
so the question is: how can I transfer only the 10 indexes from "A" to "B" ?

I still don't understand what you wish as you can't move index from server to storage node - they are always handled by server itself. However if you wished to move client's backup going from server to storage node that you need to change storage node field in client's resource.

I want to move some index form the actual server to the new server (=the old storage-node)
In other words I want to do a "partial" server transfer.
If it's not possible, that means that I will loose the indexes: I understand I have to rescan all the tapes.
