Restore data on to another client.

Can I restore data from 1 client on to another client?

For example, I have backup client A data but during restoration, I want to restore client A data on client B? Can this be done?

    Kan,

To be able to allow what is called a redirected recovery you have to give permission on the original client for some other server to recover the data - otherwise anyone could request data for another server within your datazone providing they are on a client.

Within server A's client definition, go to client properties, Globals 2 of 2 and add user@server name for server B in your environment i.e. root@serverb and save.

You should no be able to do the recovery from server b logged in as root.

    Regards,
