Restoring specific folders or files to the original VM through the web interface
From "EMC NetWorker and VMware 8.2 SP1 Integration Guide" pg 90
"This topic describes what occurs when you restore specific folders and files to the original VM on Windows and Linux VMs."
Procedure
1. Open a browser and enter a URL that points tot he VMware Backup appliance and indicates file-level restore as in the following example:
http://VMware_Backup_appliance_host:8580/flr
Note
The browser must point to a VMware Backup appliance from the VM that is being restored using FLR, and you must be part of the Administrators group to perform FLR restore.
What they don't tell you is that you must have FLASH installed on the server for this to work. Who the hell wants to run Flash on their server?

Given the push for VC into flash web interface and avamar itself, no surprise... and with overall web/cloud app explosion there is more and more of need to update legacy baselines to include flash.

That's an interesting perspective. There's a push in the industry to kill Flash in the client environment. Perpetuating Flash by increasing its presence in the server environment to me seems counter productive and goes against well established best practices of minimizing the security footprint of the server.

There is push for everything... especially when one product dominates. For example, last year HTML5 was very vocal, but flash still dominates. In respect to security, no matter what you use, it will always be a topic (in old days I remember sendmail being catastrophe at one point, but it managed survive due to its global status anyway).
