VSS problem Windows 2008 DC

Hi,

I'm having a problem with two of our servers which fail in backup. Below is the error. It seems like VSS is telling Networker to backup a file that does not exist. If we create a file with the name aspnet_state.exe the backup succeeds. But this is not a solution I want as it can be multiple files that needs to be created to cheat networker.

Anyone know how to get around this.

System Writer - Get file attributes returned error 2 for VSS file \\?\GLOBALROOT\Device\HarddiskVolumeShadowCopy216\windows\microsoft.net\framework\v2.0.50727\aspnet_state.exe

System Writer - Error saving file path C:\windows\microsoft.net\framework\v2.0.50727\aspnet_state.exe that is associated with Shadow Copy path \\?\GLOBALROOT\Device\HarddiskVolumeShadowCopy216\windows\microsoft.net\framework\v2.0.50727\aspnet_state.exe. The system cannot find the file specified.

I'm using Networker 7.4.4 on my clients.

There is a environment variable which says to NW to ignore it and to continue. This has been discussed recently so you can check it out.

Thank you for your reply Hrvoje.

I'v searched the forum, but I have not been able to find a solution. The problem in this post is a bit similar to mine, but there is no solution.

Could you please help with that environment variable? I'm sorry to ask, but desperate to find a solution on this problem :-)
