Powerconnect STP
hi
i have 2 powerconnect 6224 in stack
i setup 2 vlan
vlan 100 - port 1-12 (all port on access) vlan 200 - port 13-24 (all port on access)
my problem began when i add new powerconnect
i setup the vlan setting in the new switch like the stack switch
i want to use 2 uplink for
port 12 on vlan 100 - connect to the new switch on port 12
and port 24 on vlan 200 - connect to the new switch on port 24
but on of the port block by the STP
everybody talk about MSTP
but i dont know how to setupmstp
i know that i can use trunk port and move data accross vlan in 1 uplink port
but i need to use 2 uplink port
1 uplink per vlan
thanks

If you need the 2 cables for the amount of traffic that is crossing you could think about a LAG connection where multiple physical cables are set up as one virtual connection.
MST is an option where you can have multiple different "instances" of spanning tree running. You can define specifically what VLANs are associated with a certain instance. You would have the capability of sending traffic over a certain path for one instance. Then for the other instance you can send the traffic for a different VLAN thru a different path. This can get complicated pretty fast. You may want to read up as much as you can before trying to implement this in your production environment.
Page 554 of the CLI Guide provides configuration commands for MST.
Page 352 of the User Guide also talks about the configuration options.
Here is a link to the manuals available for the 6200 series:

Here some more information on configuring MST on a 6200 switch:

I hope this helps,
