Chrome Not Responding After Dell Update

Inspiron 11/3000.  Dell update last night.  After the update my Chrome or any other application do not respond even though I am connected to my router as usual.  How do I fix this?

    FYI ! I have rebooted several times, but Chrome still cannot connect to websites.

    Thought I had updated this post, but I must have updated a different one.  I re-installed McAfee and everything is back to normal.

    Also, Edge does not connect either, but curiously, the weather app on my home page gets the current weather so the Internet connection is there.
