I've just bought Laptop Inspiron 9300 and want to know what do I need to set wireless Internet connection.Is wireless card installed enough or I need something else?Will it work with dial-up Internet?
The adapter in your 9300 uses a small radio transmitter and receiver to connect your PC to a wireless access point (router) that is in turn, generally tied to a broadband (DSL or cable) modem. Wireless is not designed or intended to work on a dial-up connection.
The modem is then tied to a service provider such as the local cable or telephone company that provides the high speed link to the internet. You can also work through a company like AOL or Earthlink and others who resell the service of the local company
