When in the office I have my computer connected to the internet using a Dell Port Replicator and have no problem in turning on the wireless connection on.   However when I am disconnected  from the replicator, I can not get a wireless connection.   I keep getting a message :  "Another application is controlling wireless adapter".      Therefore I can not connect to the internet when wireless even though I am within a foot or two of the DSL router.   The wireless connection DID work for a short period of time.

 

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
