Modem Dialing Extra Numbers

Hello,  I have had this problem with the Conexant By Actiontec MD56ORD V92 MDC Modem since I got the laptop over a year ago. . .Dell. . .no help. . .Actiontec. . .no help. . .Dell even sent a new modem. . .no help.

When in a docked state, the modem dials extra numbers, you can hear it.  The extra numbers obviously get put in front of the number you are trying to dial because sometimes I will get an office or something, sometimes the operator. . .

When undocked, the modem dials fine.  I have been through every troubleshooting step possible and nothing has worked.  I am about to go to a PC Card modem but it isn't fair since you pay good money for a laptop and support and get no where.  Ranting.

I attached the modem log in hopes that someone can make sense out of it because I can't.  Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks!

I would undock, delete the docked hardware profile, then correctly dock again to make a niw profile and see if that helps.

Thanks for the advice.  We tried that a long time ago and it may have fixed temporarily, but the problem came back.  I will try again just for fun.  Thanks!

Then one of your programs is adding the extra numbers - one that dials (update managers??).

I thought so too, however it does it in Hyperterm, phone dialer, and two other programs that use the modem.

Somewhere in Windows modem properties there has to be something telling it to dial the extra numbers.

I have been everywhere, it is the most bizzare thing.  If there were something in the modem settings, it would be dialing extra numbers both docked and undocked, but it only happens when it is docked.
