Wireless under Windows 7
Hi, I have an older Inspirion B130 I am trying to install Win 7 on (RTM version received via Microsoft Partner program). Win 7 is installed and seems
to be working quite well. Built in RJ-45 network port is working fine and connecting me to the internet. Problem is the wireless does not work. Win 7 sees
the router but will not connect to it. The router is configured for encryption but Win 7 does not ask me for the key, just says it cannot connect. I realize I should
probably re-install the driver but I cannot locate it. When I enter my service tag, all I get is Windows XP drivers (I assumed there would be Vista drivers
available). Plus of the drivers listed for wireless, all I see listed is drivers for particular mobile cards. I believe what I have is (taken from the hardware
list in Windows System) is a "Dell wireless 1470 dual band WLAN PCI card". Is that what I should be looking for? Where can I get the right driver for it?
Or is there another way to get my wireless working?
