dell 2950 Remote Access Setup within 5 sec in stuck
Hello.
We have an issue after we tried to do an upgrade of our os based on linux centos.
After reboot the appliance dell 2950 show the raid check and then the statement :
"Press for Remote Access Setup within 5 sec......"
After that the os doesn't boot and it is in stuck.
Boot from USB and DVD work but not for raid .
This is the second appliance that it goes in error with the same behavior.
We tried also to upgrade bios to last version 2.7.0 but it did not work.
What could be the problem?
Is it possible a KVM problem which is connected to that appliance?
The appliance at the moment are out of guarantee because we are extending the guarantee that it goes out of maintenance in 31/12/2015.
Please help.

Thank you for your reply.
Raid controller is ok, disks are online . Only thing is that 2 months ago there was a fail disk (second in the array of raid 1) and it was changed with a disk more bigger .
Disk 1 : 136 gb
Disk 2 : 500 gb about
The appliance is a virtual appliance of TrendMicro based on Centos 6.x in 64 bit .
The version of product was 6.0 and we were upgrading to 6.5 . After we upgrade to 6.5 all things were ok. After that we installed SP1 and it goes in that behavior.
Other servers did not do the same things.

I tried the follow :
- shutdown server
- Unplug USB Keyboard and power supply
- plug USB Keyboard and power supply
Nothing changed.
Now i reinstall the ISO of virtual appliance and it works.
I'm going to install Service pack to see if it happens again. Only difference is that in the meantime i upgraded bios from 2.5.0 to 2.7.0 .
I will keep you updated.
In the meantime, have you got any other suggestions?

It sounds like an issue with the service pack. If it works when you reinstall, it is most likely not a hardware issue.

Hi,
It sounds like it is completing post. If you go into the RAID controller does it show the drives online? It sounds like the OS update is the problem. Is the appliance an image or are you manually installing CentOS?
