Can you let us know what OS are you trying to install? Have you tried the ISO on another system to check if it is able to be used for installation?

Have you updated the iDRAC/LCC and BIOS, just to make sure everything is up to date for the OS.

May I know what model of server you have there?

Can you try another ISO to check the root cause.

It would be great if you can provide us some screenshots of your installation process and the issue.

Thanks for the screenshot and confirming that the ISO works fine when using it as boot device.

That is weird that 2 server are having the same issue. 

Here's what I can think of, if these doesn't work, I suggest to call into support to log a case and have them check if a replacement is needed on the last resort.

Try a soft reset of iDRAC: https://dell.to/3iDHrRw

Try on another client system accessing to iDRAC and mount the ISO file.

Try changing iDRAC plug in type from HTML5 to Java. 

i have reset iDRAC - no difference

i have tried multiple clients, and browsers connecting to the iDRAC - same issue

can't use Java, don't have it installed on any device

Are you mapping virtual media after entering to lifecycle controller? If yes can you map virtual media then boot to lifecycle controller and try.

I had the same issue and your proposal to first map the virtual media and than entering the lifecycle controller solved the issue for me.

I came across this yesterday trying to boot an r740xd2 with an Ubuntu server ISO.  Thanks to those who mentioned to map the virtual media BEFORE entering the lifecycle controller.  That did the trick for me.

Same issue, on a 17G server, R570.

I am sure I load my iso in virtual cd/dvd way before rebooting...

Anyway I try restart again, boot to LifeCycle Controller again, with same iso still loaded, and then this time it appears finally.

And i m still wondering why Dell removed everything except OS deploy in LC on 17G servers... but thats another topic.

I think the issue is usually that the ISO must be mapped **before** entering Lifecycle Controller. On Dell systems, “No Media” can show up if virtual media was connected too late, and in some cases it only appears after a reboot or two. 

What worked for me / others was:
- Map the ISO in iDRAC first.
- Confirm virtual media is connected.
- Reboot the server.
- Enter Lifecycle Controller again and check the OS media selection.

Dell community replies also suggest trying a soft reset of iDRAC, another client browser, or switching the iDRAC plug-in type from HTML5 to Java if the ISO still does not appear. 

Dell docs and videos also show that virtual media is the expected way to supply install media for LC OS deployment.
