Error Beeps on Power On - Poweredge 1400SC
I get a series of beeps when I power my Poweredge 1400SC Server on. Nothing else happens. The server's main hard drive was recently completely degraded, and the RAID controller blew up when rebooting. Now we are attempting to run the server again with 4 SCSI hard drives and no RAID.
The beep sequence is 1-3-2. I have learnt that this means there is no PC133 ram installed, however I have 4 modules of 128MB PC133. No combination of the modules in different slots works either.

Hi,
The beep code can also mean a defective motherboard, if you have tested the memory in another system.
To ensure there is no outside interference causing the problem, remove all PCI cards, any peripheral devices connected to the rear of the machine, and all the memory (except for one).
Install a jumper on the NVRAM_CLR pins on the motherboard, then power up.
Check the section on System Board Jumpers <ADMIN NOTE: Broken link has been removed / replaced from this post by Dell> in the PowerEdge 1400 Systems Service Manual.
If you still get the beep code, the motherboard is defective.
If you do not receive the beep code, remove the jumper, and power up. If still no beep code, add the removed devices one at a time, until you find the item which caused the problem.
