R720XD Backplane Cabling

On the R720XD with 12 bay unit. I have bought the BACKPLANE for the rear of the unit to house 2 2.5 drives. It came with all the cables etc. BUT the A1 connection wire appears to be the facing the wrong way to plug it in. The way it appears to go in properly would require you to take the MAIN FRONT backplane off and then essentially NOT use that one drive as the able would protrude into that bay. My question is HOW is that to be plugged in? Please provide pictures if possible. Thank you

    Hi @thereverendd,

Apologies, but I couldn't get picture myself as I don't have a test unit. Luckily I found youtube videos that may help.

It seems that the cable that you have, is for the 24x 2.5" backplane. You have the 12x 3.5" backplane? To be sure, send me the cable DPN#, I'll be able to check that. The correct cable is DPN# 4NM23.
