I have a customer with a Dell Poweredge SC1420, with a CERC 1.5/6Ch.  There are currently 2 160B hard drives installed in a mirrored fashion (RAID1).  The customer is changing the desired use for this server.  Ideally I would like to break the mirror and simply make this 2 individual hard drives.  After reading the Reference Guide referenced above, I realize this can not be done.

So the next best option appears to be adding a new 160GB hard drive and converting to a RAID5 array.  The server is running Windows 2003 Small Business Server.
From what I've read in the Guide, I should be able to power down the server, add the new hard drive, and power the server back up.  Once Windows is loaded, I can start the CERC utility and add the new hard drive to the controller, then convert the array from RAID 1 to RAID 5.
Does this sound like I'm on the right track?
