Virtual Disk Degraded

PowerEdge 2800
Embeded Controller PERC 4e/Di
2 SCSI 36 Gb Hdd
RAID-1

Dell OpenManage Server Administrator shows Virtual Disk 0 Degraded

I can't shutdown the server for more than 15 min during the week (database server)

Can somebody help me with a fast fix before I get prepared for a long night? I know sounds unrealistic but maybe someone went through this.

Thank you in advance

There's no need to shutdown if this is a RAID 1. You should have a failed drive that can be reseated and attempt to rebuild ( I would check your system logs first) or have the drive replaced. It will rebuild while you normal operations are running but will have a small performance hit.

    Thank you JakHix

I didn't think I can get away so easy.

You were right, I reseated the drive and now the rebuilding is up to 39%.

I’ll have to wait to finish so I can check the virtual disk (correct?)

Your PE2800 should still be covered by Dell warranty.
Suggest logging a call and have the drive replaced under warranty. Reseating the drive will only temporarily
    fix the problem.
