This forum has been acting strangely for the past twelve hours or so. At first I was unable to sign in, despite trying repeatedly, and now I cannot stay signed out. Every time I return, I am automatically signed in. This happens in Windows, as well as in Android.
I have not saved my log in details in a password manager in either OS, which makes me think that this is a new "feature". There is nothing in my account preferences either, to disable this behaviour. What is causing this? Any ideas?
Both Chrome and firefox will store a session for a short time and auto login.
Chrome Will Automatically Save Passwords Without Google Sync
Primary Password is replacing Master Password. Firefox is removing terminology from the browser that has been identified as derogatory or exclusionary.
Neither of these changes have anything whatsoever to do with Dell.
I'm back to normal, after 36 hours! No idea what happened, especially because I didn't do anything, but this message greeted me a couple of minutes ago:
If it was a mod who read my post and fixed the problem, thank you!
The thing is that I never save passwords. I always decline when I'm offered that option. As I mentioned above this only started yesterday. At first, I thought that the forum was undergoing maintenance, because I had difficulty getting on. It was only after I did get on eventually, that this logout issue started.
So, there seems to be a connection. It doesn't worry me too much, because this is not a sensitive account. Maybe it's a Chrome thing. I use chromium based browsers on Android, as well as on Windows. The issue is the same on both.
