I have a T3620 running Win 10 Pro and its worked brilliantly for nearly 4 years now. A few days ago I tried to install a PCIE card to provide me with 4 extra USB ports - the card seemed to be recognised and it looked like the supplied drivers were installed, however I couldn't get any USB device to work when attached to any of the ports. I also noticed that my audio seemed to have stopped working - I have a Dell AS501 sound bar plugged into the rear speaker jack and a Roland headset plugged into the front audio jack. There is now no sound coming from either! Prior to installing this USB card I had been happily listening to TV programs etc via the Roland headset for a long time, although I rarely used the Dell sound bar.
I have now physically uninstalled the apparently defective USB card and as far as I am aware also the drivers that came with it. However it has made no difference to the problem with the audio jacks - I know the headset works because I have tried it in another machine. I have also tried all sorts of things to see if the jacks have been muted or whatever but nothing has made any difference. I have noticed that when I go to Sound in Control Panel and click on Properties and then on Speakers/Headphones (which says 2 - Realtek Audio) and has a green tick by it and I then click on Test in the Properties window I see the green vertical bar opposite Speakers/Headphones in Sound shimmers like it is playing audio for what would be a reasonable 5 sec or so test period!! See image below.
Can anyone suggest what I could do to fix this problem or reset the sound jacks to their default state please?
I'm pretty certain I have exactly the same problem with the same PC and same Dell Soundbar, but the suggested fix didn't seem to make anything work - according to all the tests I did I could see the green bars vibrating appropriately but no sound came out of the device unfortunately. Do you have any other thoughts?

If you have not already tried.
From device manager uninstall your existing audio driver and if prompted remove associated file.
Reinstall the following driver

Reboot
