UNSOLVED
Precision 7550 not starting.
When power is pressed, the keyboard lights up, but nothing else happens for a few seconds( 8 - 10), then the fans spin up, and it blacks out.
The same happens both with or without external power(240W charger, or WD19DC), but when powered, it will automatically restart the same 'non starter' sequence a few seconds after blacking out.
Disconnecting the battery results in the same non-start, but no repeats.

Welcome to the Dell Community @trygveah
With ONLY the 240W attached, hold down the " D " key and power-on.
The laptop should go through an LCD test of solid White, Red, Green, Blue and Black 2 or 3 times.
After completion it should try to automatically boot 2 or 3 times.

It ran the colour screens OK, then went back to the 'failed startup cycle' again.

Just been away for a couple of years...
