Precision 7710 Processor Upgrade
Hello, can you upgrade the Precision 7710 Mobile Workstation processor to the Core i7-7820HQ processor? If so, what is the Dell part number for the Core i7-7820HQ processor?
is there anything else that need to be done to make the processor work? Does Dell do this service?

Do not know for certain but very unlikely be a straight forward drop-in.
Not be be taken as negative, but if you did not know much about the physical builds of these systems, there is not much of a successful rate for transplant.
If your 7710 can no longer serve your needs, upgrading to a newer system would be a better choice than updating the old system.

To upgrade processor, you must replace the motherboard as they are soldered together.
For i7-7820HQ, you must upgrade your system to 7720.
