A940 Problem - SP2?

HI have recently installed Windows XP SP2, afterwards my A940 would not print.
I removed the drivers and unplugged the printer, and as per Dell's instructions reconnected and reinstalled everything and still when I print it sits in the queue with status on 'printing'

I have read different fixes (remove all printer drivers etc) and have tried everything including a Windows XP SP2 repair, but I still have the same problem. I have also tried the latest firmware from Dell.

I have installed the printer on my laptop and it works fine, it even works on my desktop through a share!
but not connected directly through USB.

Besides rebuilding my PC from scratch, does anyone know of a solution?

    To add to this:

I receive a message in the Dell printer solution center stating that the 'printer installed is not a Dell A940 printer'

    go figure?

I too had the same problem. The only solution was romoving SP2. I didn't like it but hey I needed my printer to work. Dell denies the problem but thety delete all replies to my original post.

Microsoft does not worl well if at all with Lexmark drivers. Good Luck...

    Peace
