A960 Printer Problem

I have a two year old A960 All-In-One Printer.  Recently, mostly when I attempt to print photos out of Adobe Photoshop Elements, the printer won't print and I get the following error message:  "Spooler SubSystem App has encountered a problem and needs to close."  I have tried turning the printer off and on, checked the connections, etc.  Nothing.  Nothing has changed about the printer or connections since installation in 2004.

The specific error signature is as follows:
sz AppName:  spoolsv.exe
sz AppVer:  5.1.2600.2696
sz ModName:  DLBFCC5C.DLL
sz ModVer:  0.0.0.0
offset:  000018bc

Any suggestions as to what's wrong and how I can fix it?

That's a software problem, rather than a problem with the printer.

Reinstall the Dell printer software (or better yet check the downloads for a newer version and if there is one install that) and see if it clears it up.  You may have to uninstall the existing software, disconnect the printer from the PC, restart Windows and then do a fresh install to get it working.
