Yesterday I received my J740 printer and attempted to set it up. This may seem like an obvious question so just so it dosen't seem like I'm a complete m oron, a few days before I received my Dell computer which I was able to setup with no problems and then later I received my DSL stuff which I was able to install correctly. the printer is a problem however.

I followed the steps up until the portion about installing the cartridges. There are two slots to install cartridges. On the left is the slot for B/W and on the right is a blue slot for the color cartridge. The color cartridge was inserted fine I think. The B/W cartride is not able to fit. At the base of the slot where the B/W cartride is supposed to fit is a little rubber square shaped thing that is about the size of a person's small fingernail. This small square keeps me from being able to insert the B/W cartridge all the way in.

This square thing does not look like something that can be removed and the cartridge won't fit all the way in with it in there so I don't know what to do. How do I insert the black cartridge?
