First time posting, at the end of my rope, have 2 A940 Dell Printers, one came with computer, the other I ordered for an older Dell computer because I liked it so well...the newer one, of course, is out of warranty and just started to paper jam and feeder pulls to the right, have checked all the posts here, complete web search, Dell support and nothing has helped...before I toss it, would like to take it apart and check the "rollers" or whatever the feed is called, what do I have to lose??? Can anyone guide me in the process, or give suggestions as to what else to do? Love the one that works, hate the one that doesn't...ps, it works sometimes, then not!
Wow, same exact problem I've been having with my 920. It hasn't printed well for awhile, but I've been dealing. Then I moved and when I set it back up, it pulled to the right and fed unevenly, just like yours. Unfortunately, I also posted for the first time about 2 weeks ago and although 124 people have viewed my question, not ONE person has a solution. I'm going to try to get through to Dell tonight in an effort to solve the problem. If they can't help me, I'll be going at it with a screwdriver. If you figure it out, I would greatly appreciate your feedback and visa versa.
By the way I understand that even if the printer is out of warranty, there is a chance for getting a new printer since the revenue generation is more from cartridge sale
