Problem with DELL AIO 964

I lost the CD driver to reinstall the printer(photo AIO 964), so I download it from the internet.

When I run the driver, it shows path not found.

In the device manager, there are question marks in front of "DELL Photo AIO Printer 964" and "photo AIO 964"

When I click on these, it shows "This device is working properly", but my printer doesn't work at all.

Download and run this patch to completely remove the printer from your computer.

    Restart your computer.

    Download the proper drivers.

    XP Drivers

    Vista 32-bit Drivers

Install the proper drivers. You'll be prompted when to connect the printer(powered on)

    Scanning

Scanning using USB connection, open the Dell All-In-One Center, click on scanning and copying and scan from there.

Scanning wirelessly, use the scan buttons on the printer.

I have followed your instructions ,but windows cannot detect the USB cable I have connected. I am sure i have connect the computer and the printer, and both power on..
In the device manager, it says unknown device, no drivers are installed for this device.
In control panel, under printer and other hardware, no printer was added.

What can I do next ?

    I appreciate your help!

    Download the proper drivers.

    XP Drivers

    Vista 32-bit Drivers

Go to device manager(right click my computer, left click properties, left click hardware, left click device manager)

Go to the USB Controller section and click the + sign.

Starting at the bottom, USB Root Hubs, and working your way to the top, USB Universal Controllers, un-install everything in that section.

Restart your computer. Windows will find everything again and correct the problem one. Please be patient. The new hardware wizard may work 3-5 minutes before it's done.

Install the proper drivers. You'll be prompted when to connect the printer(powered on)

    Scanning
