I have a V31w printer, i haven't used it for a while now i try to use it, it won't work. I replaced the catriges and it tells me my ink is low, i cannot connect to my network, i try to reinstall it,the cd is not working properly. I tried to clean the head and do an alignment, when i try to print i can't even read the printing.
Can you copy a document under the glass? Black and White and color?
Printer wired or wireless?
Turn off the balloon tips for the printer.
(Right click) Start, control panel, devices and printer, your printer, printing preferences, advanced, more options. Tell it to never show. The problem with this setting is you cannot tell if you're low on ink, printer jams, Etc.
looked in the settings for the printer and still can't find the balloon tips option, I can copy scan print colourful test pages out but every time i try send a print from the mac it comes up ink/toner empty...but as i said earlier i gave it a shake and I'm still covered in ink, I've also tried the restart of the computer as you suggested and it still won't print.
On Windows systems, there is a setting in the control panel that gives you printer preferences. This allows you to change things like the paper size, print with black in or use all available ink, border-less, etc. The balloon tips can be turned off there. Not sure where to find this on a Mac.
If you restart your computer, then send the print job, does it print?
Not sure what driver you're using. Your printer was made for Dell by Lexmark. The only information I have are for (Mac Os X 10.7 Lion Driver)(Lexmark S300-S400 Series) drivers. Not sure of they'll work on the newer operating systems.
