Ceiling mount usually works better for most people than placing the projector on a desk. Think about it: a projector that's suspended upside-down from the ceiling is likely to project the image at a lower spot, which in Dell's case will put the image squarely on the screen (instead of above the screen)... well, perhaps not quite perfect, but a ceiling mount ought to have a greater degree of freedom than a desk in terms of adjusting the projector. Anyway, you get my point.

 

Not to be a hindsight genius, but Dell projectors' user manuals tell you the projection scaling and image position, just like any other brand of projectors. If you don't like your Dell projector, there may still be time to return it?

The first thing I tried was to invert it.  Of course the image is on the floor and wall- not too good either. The 2300 is best used on the desk for power point and presentations.  If I can't return it for a refund it will have set on the desk.  Thanks for you input! - hotrodder
