3300mp not projecting with c600

I can get the 3300mp to work with an inspiron laptop, but not with this latitude.
When I boot up, at the log in screen, the projector shows the laptop screen. After logging in, the projector goes to searching mode and doesn't reconnect. I get the No Signal.
 
Any suggestions?

    If you have the login screen, then your computer must have been able to detect an external "monitor." Maybe you need to go to Display Properties to check your monitor display settings. (?)

    The problem is with the CPx laptop using the Rage Mobility M1.
    The settings are at 1028x768 16 bit High Color with the Dell 3300mp drivers listed. The settings are the same as the C600 (using Rage Mobility 128 which isn't having any problems.
