HDCP compliance

So based on FAQ, dell projectors and lcd tv are currently not HDCP compliant. Are there any plans in near future for making them( through firmware and software updates) such that people who own these have no compatibilty issues. I gathered a list of current DVI output dvd players

http://www.extremephono.com/momitsu_dvd_v880.htm

and if you scroll to the bottom, you will see most of  dvd players have only HDCP dvi outputs.

Is that a problem with high end video cards with dvi outputs also( if I can not get a dvi output dvd player, I might as well spend another 500-600$ to get a multimedia pc with all these features and a SPDF sound card.

Please someone from dell can explain this.

Thanks

I got this following link, very informative and helpful to decide which Projector or Device for HDCP compliant. The link is not been updated for a while, but still very good to get information. I guess now I got confused to whether buy 3300mp or not.

Any feedback of decision to buy Dell Projector or not!!!!!

I was wondering if someone from Dell would answer the question of 'when is there going to be a firmware upgrade to address the HDCP Compliancy issue(s)????  The 4100MP has the 'digital' output connection, but useless when trying to use with my new Pioneer Elite HDMI DVD Player.

Any comments from anyone would be greatly appreciated.

Even the new pc video cards have HDCP enforced digital outputs,
so I guess having NON-HDCP dvi port(M1-DA) on these expensive projectors is almost uselesss unless DELL wants to upgrade the existing models
