failure to update BMC to 1.92

Hello

Any step by step tutorial to update BMC to latest version on a r210? I have 1.30 and the fans are very noisy. I need to update BMC to at least 1.70 and i don't know how

Please advice

Did you have PowerEdge R210 or PowerEdge 210 II.

You can download latest BMC from below links. You can use "Update Package" format If you have supported Windows or Linux operating system(Refer "Supported Operating Systems" section) on the server.

If you do not have supported operating system you can update using bootable USB key using self extraction exe file. There will be a readme file with instruction on that.

    BMC for PowerEdge R210

Windows 10 is not a supported operating system on R210. That could be the reason update package failing on windows. Can you try updating BMC using bootable USB key using self extracting file. Once you extract the content there will be readme file with instruction on updating with USB key.

    Hello

I did. Creating a USB bootable key on windows with diskpart, copy the content of the extraction in to usb, boot from USB. Got: no operating system found on this USB key.

Tried to download Dell Update utility. Got the mesage: ALL UPDATES ARE ALREADY INSTALLED. :))))

Any other reccomandation? Other OS to install in order to do the thing?

    Thanks

You might need to use Support Live Image, and update throught it.

    Hope that works for you.

    Regards.
