My r530 installed with esxi 6.0, havent use for production for almost 1 week due to unexpected shutdown. It will shut itself after 3-5 hours. Reinstalled os (esxi 6.0) also same. OS are installed in ISDM disk (sd card). Logged call to Dell says hardware optimum. Still have warranty. I dont know what else to do. Is it the time come to change to other brand?
What version of ESXi 6.0 are we working with? What are you seeing when it crashes? Are you using the Dell customized image or the VMware standard image? A fairly considerable number of crashes for ESXi are driver related, I would expect to be able to get the host you have to work.
Dell Power Edge R530 server Shutdown automatically every after 2-3 month Dell support team checked and did not found any error, all firmware bios updated, OS version is Cent OS 7.9. We are facing this issue from past 1.5 years.
How can we disable this feature?, It is live server and every downtime create lots of loss.
I think it is unfair to ask the same questions from a closed SR instead of working actively on the SR.
Your last communication was on 7th Dec so I think you could not expect that this case would be handled as Ongoing.
Because your System is OWR and Cent OS is community-based I pleased you to do your Software Troubleshoot at their community and if you want to buy any Hardware you have to call Dell to get in touch with a local team that could create an offer for your country.
