2nd hard drive not recognized

Have a Dimension 8300, 2 WD, ATA 80GB,

can see them in my device view as well as bios, but can not see them in "start" under programs or "MY Computer".

Any ideas?

changed my secondary into primary, inserted XP resarted, boot from CD and formated

jumers set "cs"

Hard drives don't show under Programs.

Did you just add a hard drive or two? If so, did you partition and format it in Windows Disk Management?

Then the secondary is now your primary and is your C drive... So I'm still not following you...

yes my secondary became my C drive, old C drive corrupt. The funny thing is if I reverse the drives I am able to access all my drives again.
