Can I have 3 HD controllers ?

On my XPS T500 I have 2 HD drive controllers right now, a Promise Ultra 100 IDE controller hooked to two hard drives, and an Adaptec 29160 SCSI controller hooked to a SCSI drive.

My question is:  Can I hook a fourth hard drive to the IDE motherboard controller (which is currently unused).

rlightbourne, what wattage power supply does it take to use all these HDDs. I have a Dell 8250 with a 250 watt power supply, and wondering if that is large enough to run 3 HDDs?   Doogie

Look at my signature.  I'm running all that with a 200 watt power supply in my XPS-T.  I think you will be fine with a 250w.
