DLA Warning Message when attempting to format disc

I haven't had to format a disc in order to store photos and some data for some time.  Today when I attempted to do so, I received this puzzling message I had never seen before:

"This is a pre-release version of Sonic DLA.  It is not of production or release quality.....this version is not guaranteed to produce working discs....provided for your evaluation....etc."

This is the only R/W software that is was loaded at the factory on my Dell 8400.  Did the software expire?  How can I resolve this problem?

    Hi, Janet:

It would be helpful if you provide the model of your Dell computer, operating system, and the version of Sonic or Roxio, your burning software, on your computer.

Do you still have the applications disc for reinstalling this program?

It is a Dimension 8400, Windows XP Professional, Service Pk. 2, and the Sonic version is 4.98, according to info on my C drive.  The application disc I have says:  "For Reinstalling Sonic MyDVD 5.3 LE and Record Now 7.3 LE Software"???

    Thanks for your help.

Run the Recordnow installation routine, and DLA should be available as an option to install as well. Then download and run this update for DLA.
