I have an Inspiron 8000 running XP Home edition. I am getting the following message when I turn on the computer:

Hard disk read failure - No bootable devices

I have pulled out the hard drive, cd drive, and floppy drive and re-seated them.  This did not help.

I also tried to boot from the CD-Rom drive to no avail (yes -  I did change the boot order to use the CD-Drive first) using the drivers and utilities CD.

I am using BIOS version A22.

Does anyone have any suggestions?
