Need HELP INSTALLING CD/DVD DRIVER it's not on my computer
I have an inspiron e1505 and not really sure of the particulars but my cd drive has been missing on my computer for a while. It is physically there, but does not appear in device manager nor "my computer". It opens, however, does not read any discs. I believe I need to install a driver, but do not know which ones. Please help.

Hi Mlutz153,
The good news is that Windows provides the same generic driver for all CD/DVD drives. I think what you need to try is the Microsoft CD/DVD fix that I have linked to below. That usually fixes this problem.
