Replacement CD ROM Drive
The CD drive that came with my Dimension 2400 is: _NEC DVD+RW ND-2100AD [CD-ROM drive] It has been diagnosed by Dell as broken. Can someone suggest a replacement. There is none available in Dell's parts store. Thanks. Capt Tom

Permission to come aboard and offer you an upgrade! Let me suggest you take a look at Newegg.com for a decent selection from a reputable online vendor. You'll find several drives, all of which are faster and more capable than your older NEC. In fact, a new NEC might be a good way to go.
