SATA HDD cloning.
My prefered method of backing up my IDE HDD has been to use Norton Ghost to clone it to another IDE HDD. I'm getting a new Dell XPS Gen5 with a 160GB SATA HDD in the next week or so. I already found out that I can use my IDE HDD on the CD channel along with XP Pro Windows Explorer to copy over files and stuff from it to the new SATA HDD, thanks to advice from
ejn63 . (Thank you very much.)
My question now is, can I use this same IDE/SATA hook-up to clone from the SATA HDD to the IDE drive and back again, if necessary? Or would this XPS computer have two SATA connections and would I have to get another SATA HDD to make this work? Or would this work in any configuration?
Thanks,
~Dave
