Equal opportunity scammer

All week I've been getting repeated robocalls saying they detected somebody trying to hijack my Windows PC and my data "may have get compromised".  (Bad English to go along with the scam!)

Today's version of the robocall says they detected "unauthorized activity on my Apple account" and I shouldn't use any Apple products before contacting them. :Surprise:

That's OK, I don't have any Apple accounts or Apple products. :Stickouttongue:

I wish these stupid idiots would go bother somebody else...

I've been getting more robocalls than live scammers in recent months. The biggest one currently is from the tax man (Canada Revenue Agency) threatening imminent arrest over taxes due. I suspect the foreign accents of a live scammer caused them to switch to recorded calls, but the bad grammar is still ubiquitous.

I miss the live calls - at least I could play the credulous fool, string them along  and waste their time.

I just tell the live ones "where they can go..."
