    I ran combofix and got this log. Then I ran hijackthis again and I will also post that latest log. But I'm sure some malware might still be hidding and I can't point it out. So please if anyone can help me find anything else that might be a potential problem on this log please let me know. Thanks

    Please download Combofix and save to your desktop:
    • Note: It is important that it is saved directly to your desktop
      Close any open browsers.
      Double click on combofix.exe and follow the prompts.
      When it's finished it will produce a log.
      Post the contents of the C:\ComboFix.txt into your next reply.
      Note: Do not mouseclick combofix's window whilst it's running.
      That may cause the program to freeze/hang.

    Don't know how I could have missed that?

    1. Open NotePad (not wordpad). Copy and paste the following into Notepad

    File::
    C:\WINDOWS\system32\ccdqlumh.dat
    C:\WINDOWS\system32\libssl32.dll
    C:\WINDOWS\system32\qexbqurl.dat
    C:\WINDOWS\system32\bbkizsod.dat
    C:\WINDOWS\system32\zadyaflh.dat
    C:\WINDOWS\system32\vondhago.dat
    C:\WINDOWS\system32\cdmodemo.dll.bak
    C:\WINDOWS\system32\5pp1e5.exe

    Registry::
    [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\software\microsoft\windows\currentversion\run-]
    "5pp1e5"=-
    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\software\microsoft\windows\currentversion\run-]
    "5pp1e5"=-
    [-HKEY_CURRENT_USER\software\microsoft\windows\currentversion\explorer\mountpoints2\{36921cfa-a746-11db-9066-0014229a7e68}]
    [-HKEY_CURRENT_USER\software\microsoft\windows\currentversion\explorer\mountpoints2\{46e50870-c149-11db-a533-0014229a7e68}]

    Save the File as CFScript(exactly as shown no spaces) ->> Save it to your Desktop

    Using the Image as a reference, drag CFScript into ComboFix.exe

    user posted image
    • You will be prompted to run Combofix again, Do so
      Following the same rules as indicated in my first post
      Then post the contents of the C:\ComboFix.txt log in your reply

    2. Rerun Hijackthis and post a fresh Hijackthis log as well

    Good work so far. Almost there.

    1. Rerun Hijackthis (scan only) and place checks beside the following entries
    • O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [application] C:\Program Files\AKProg\AKProg.exe hs
      O6 - HKCU\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Restrictions present

    Close all other open windows except Hijackthis and Select " Fix checked"

    Close Hijackthis ->> Reboot your PC ->> Rerun Hijackthis and post a fresh Hijackthis log

    Thanks one more time, you've helped me a lot. Before I delete those 2 entries I just wanna let you know I recognize that AKprog...its a Key Log program I knowingly run on my pc at startup. Do you think erasing the entry for the AKProg will affect it in a negative way? Maybe huh. I also believe that the other entry the  06 -HKCU might be a spybot feature which locks internet explorer stat page and control panel. Let me know what you think please.

    O.K. let's look a little closer at this
    • O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [application] C:\Program Files\AKProg\AKProg.exe hs

    I did recognize this as a key logger program, and you do seem smart enough that it was probably installed on purpose at one time. I recommended that the line be fixed, because according to Combofix the file listed in that line is missing. Which would make this an empty entry
    • "application"="C:\Program Files\AKProg\AKProg.exe" [ ]

    Is that not the case?

    The 06 entry is a result of an entry in Combofix as well
    • [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\software\microsoft\windows\currentversion\policies\explorer]
      "NoResolveSearch"= 1 (0x1)

    Which is not related to the items Spybot would monitor. But is related to redirected search issues in IE

    I want to make sure we get this right as do you. Can you tell me if in fact the file is present on your PC? Then we can go from there.

    bamajim,

    Regarding the C:\Program Files\AKProg\AKProg.exe... well the folder exists but the AKProg.exe file is no longer there. Well...guess I'll have to instal another key logger for my computer...any free one you might recomend? Other than that I think we can proceed safely, please advise on what to do. Thanks

    If you want to reload the keylogger program you have a free version is here

    http://www.actualkeylogger.com/

    I do think you need to fix the 06 line in Hijackthis. Once you have done that and reloaded your Keylogger program reboot your PC ->> Rerun Hijackthis and post a fresh Hijackthis log.
