SAcc.exe causing popups

I've noticed IE popups with ads lately. Couldn't figure out why since I use Firefox. Then noticed problems with system crashes and found the SAcc.exe stealing memory. Serached the net for info on this file and here I am. Let me know if there are any other potential problems...thx. No problem

    Re Run Hijackthis
    • At the Main window select " Open the misc tool section"
      Then select " Open uninstall manager"
      Then " save list" and save it to your desktop
    Copy and paste that list as a reply to this thread

    1. Reboot into Safe Mode
    This can be done by
    • Restart your PC, and after it starts, but before you see the Windows Splash screen
      Begin tapping the F8 key twice a second untill you reach another menu screen (black background with white menu choices)
      Use your arrow keys and select Safe Mode and then Enter
    2. Go to Add/Remove Programs
    And Uninstall the following program
    • Surf Accuracy
      YourSiteBar
    Close Add/Remove Programs ->>Reboot your PC ->>Rerun Hijackthis and post a fresh Hijackthis log

    Well done

    I don't see any evidence of a resident Anti Virus program on your PC.

    Go HERE and download AVG free.

    Yes it's free, and does a good job. Download it, install it, and allow it to update. Then Run a full scan. Allow the program to Quarantine what it finds.

    Then reply with a fresh Hijackthis log and in your reply tell me what AVG found and quaratined

    AVG found 5 threats. Moved 1 to the vault and deleted 2. The 3 Objects below are the only things that were listed in detail. Not sure if any of these have to do with the Juniper Host checker. It's an application I use to remotely and securely log into my company server.

    Object name count.jar-68a78113-166b3433.zip
    Object path C:\Documents and settings\brian\application\data\sun\java\deployment\cashe\javapi\v1.0\jar\
    Discovery Virus identified Java/ByteVerify
    Not healable
    Moved object
    Status = infected

    ----------------------------

    Object name updater.exe
    Object path C:\documents and settings\brian\local settings\Temp
    Discovery Trojan horse Downloader.lstbar.NY
    Not healable
    Backup copy
    Status = Infected

    ----------------------------

    Object name updater.prod.V101168.04avr2007.exe.065faba332214522c7e10197726c0106
    Object path C:\documents and settings\brian\local settings\Temp
    Discovery Trojan horse Downloader.lstbar.NY

    Status = Infected

    No popups! Thanks for the help. I feel more secure every minute.

    I have noticed my PC is slower since AVG install. Mainly in opening up apps. Guess you can't have your cake and eat it too.
