I would leverage a great (Free!) tool called the Celerra Virtual Storage Appliance.  It can be downloaded right from Powerlink.

The Celerra VSA is a full functioning Celerra running as a virtual machine!  You have to love x86!  Imagine what else we can do if you look across all our platforms.

Keep an eye on virtualgeek.typepad.com.  If you don't know Bernie Baker, he is a rocks star who wrote the whitepaper outlining step by step how to set up SRM 3 using 2 Celerra VSA's!  An updated paper utilizing vSphere and SRM4 will be out soon.

Hi,

VMware vCenter SRM is an automated worflow tool to protect your SITE in case of a failure (site, Array etc`) hence the reason to have two arrays, one at the protected site and one at the reocvery site.

as suggested here, for testing purposes, you can use the celerra VSA at the "remote site" to check the functionality.
