Dear Community,

I am not sure if this is the right place asking a questions about the "VNX for File Simulator". But I hope so.

I made a fresh installation on VMware ESXi 5.1.0  with a deployment of OVF template "vnx5400_simulator_8.1.0-38015.ova"

I followed the instructions in "Installation and Configuration Guide P/N 300-014-343 REV 01"

According page 14ff I configured eth0 with a fixed address and rebooted the system.

After that

./configure_nic server_2 -a eth1

./configure_nic server_3 -a eth2

and again a reboot.

I am not sure if this is corrent because the PDF doesn't say exactly what to do.

I can see the following devices are assigned:

When I try to run the Interface Wizard I get this error:

Connection cannot be established to the Data Mover server_3.

I read there are 2 different version of the simulator. One with one DM and another with 2 DM.

I was never asked during the installation about 1 or 2. Maybe I took the wrong "*.ova" file.

Any help would nice.
