I downloaded the Unisphere Service Manager, and then registered the arrays.
There seems to be an option where you can place both VNX arrays in a single Domain where I assume that management tasks are centralized? Is that a good idea (placing both VNX in a single domain)?
as far as your question about placing both arrays in one domain, i don't see why not. It sure simplifies the management, you don't have to jump from one Unisphere GUI to other, much easier to configure MirrorView/SANCopy.

This is not entirely true. Even with a single tier of storage in your pool, FAST VP will relocate hot slices across your pool to reduce hot spots. See https://www.emc.com/collateral/software/white-papers/h10938-vnx-best-practices-wp.pdf page 20: "Enable FAST VP on a pool, even if the pool only contains a single tier, to provide ongoing load balancing of LUNs across available drives based on slice temperature."
