    Hi RRAO,

you can find the SolVe Desktop Tool (which replaces the Procedure Generator) in our Partner Web:

    https://servicepartners.emc.com/restricted/index.aspx

You have to log in with partner credetials in order to download the tool.

    Regards,

    Axel

    Axel,

Our version of Solve Desktop doesn't include VNX at all, even though we're licenced for lots of arrays - whether that is general (ie VNX procedure generator hasn't been included in SolVe yet) or just us I'm unclear.  We got pointed to https://mydocuments.emc.com/

    Regards,

VNX is definitely included in Solve Desktop – at least for EMC

    Martin,

SolVe Desktop definitely includes VNX products.

If you try downloading the VNX Procedure Generator you get the following information:

"The individual EMC product Procedure Generators have been replaced by the SolVe Desktop tool."

"For any issues, concerns, or feedback, please contact us at SolVeFeedback@emc.com"

So, I would simply drop them an email to check why your version of SolVe does not contain any VNX product.

    Regards,

    Axel

I'm also havbing the exact same problem,.

after authentication with my credentials, the Solve Desktop app downloaded a ton of products we actually don't have in production ( Avamar,a Invista, Isilon, VMAX, Connectrix,et al) but nothing for VNX which we do have ...

I enquired about this exact issue with the SolVe team last week, regarding VNX, RecoverPoint & XtremIO.

The response was "When you authenticate, you will see only the products youre authorized to use. You do not have access to XtremIO, RecoverPoint, or VNX.
Those generators are only available to Service partners, and EMC internal. They are not available to Direct Sales partners and customers"

Bit of a shame, but try lobbying them or discussing with your TAM. Hopefully it'll change,

Can you check if you have access to https://mydocuments.emc.com/ ?

There you should find VNX related installation and support documentation (i.e. procedures etc.).

I've been told that these documents are visible to customers.

    Regards,

    Axel

    Hi Axel,

Yes, mydocs is not restricted, but it is a very different product compared to SolVeDesktop.

True, it's different to SolveDesktop, but for VNX it will create/generate just the same procedures as you would get with SolveDesktop, with the only difference that they are tailored for public/customer audience.
