VNX5400 synchronous Nas Replication

HI all'

today im using a A/A san with vplex/xio/vc6u2 over wancom

works great.

but thats for the SAN part .nas???

after some investigation i was pointed to the new feather for the   synchronous replication with witness.

at this is a new NAS implementation im ok with the the basic requirements  by EMC.

now the question is if there anyone how tryed this feather and can report success of failure?

and what shuold i take in consideration when going to this move?

im gone sync replicate two vnx5400 nas over ip between two sites (20GIGABIT DWDM lines with sum mili RT)

what  is the penalty for going to this action?

regards,

The latest vnx models supports sync rep for NAS (it is called VDM MetroSync),. It will use MirrorView function along with VDM to replicate.

You can refer this document for detailed info/configuration:

    https://support.emc.com/docu62174_VDM_MetroSync_For_VNX2_-_A_Detailed_Review.pdf?language=en_US&language=en_US

If you need assistance with install/configure, your local emc contact can help to engage professional services.
