I have always had both on my system. One often finds things that the other does not identify. Additionally, it has been quite a long time since Spybot has updated its database.
I went to the useful link provided by delta7000 and downloaded a recent beta version of Spybot (v 1.3 rc-4) which is a major revamp of version 1.2. I suspect that Kolla has stopped issuing updates during the development phase of this new release.
Interestingly enough, when I ran the new release it found quite a large number of problematic entries which it removed. A run the day before with v 1.2 found nothing.
I was a little upset that I was not told it was a beta version beforehand. There are some other problems with it when you go to the link that Chris provided. I deleted it and will wait until the final version comes out. I didn't re-install version 1.2 and probably will stay with Ad-aware for the time being.
I don't know if Spybot 1.3 is fully operational yet. I don't want to install it if it's not. When I checked the Spybot site it lists 1.2 and not 1.3 for download. I posted a message on the virus forum asking for info.
