ADDING SOFTWARE

I have the windows xp and my software is word perfect , microsoft money, outlook. However I want to download the microsoft office programs which include word, excel, powerpoint and access. If I just download them into my system will it create any problems?  I do not want to have any problems.

thanks,

You cannot "download" these programs from the Internet, they must be purchased.

Unless by "download" you mean install them?

Providing you install the programs from reliable sources, i.e., Microsoft, having the duplicate programs will pose no problems.

So what you are saying is even though I have XP, installing Micosoft Office Suite, which included the programs that I want should not create a problem for any programs already unstalled in my system?  Thanks alot for getting back to me.

Adding more programs from the same Suite will not cause any problems. I do it all the time!

For MS Office, the easiest way is to go to Add/Remove Programs, find the Office entry and click the "Change" button. This will initiate the Office Installer and then you can add the programs you wish.
