Basic OS option please

I'm an IT professional, one of my responsibilities is setting up new systems for my users as they arrive. We're a small company and don't make bulk purchases, so I set each one up by hand. This takes longer and longer as time goes by. We recently received an Inspiron laptop. Here's what I had to do before installing anything else:

Boot system
Kill various auto setups
Turn off McAfee services
Uninstall McAfee
Reboot
Uninstall AOL
Reboot
Uninstall Dell Media Experience
Uninstall Dell Support 3.1
Uninstall Digital Content Portal
Uninstall Earthlink Setup files
Uninstall Google Desktop while killing Google "Why?" popups
Uninstall Learn2 Player
Reboot
Uninstall MusicMatch Media Player
Reboot
Uninstall Netwaiting
Uninstall NetZero Installer
Uninstall Photoclick
Uninstall Quickbooks (although still occasionally getting QB popups)
Uninstall Quickset
Reboot
Uninstall Real Player Basic
Unistall Search Assistant
Uninstall URL Assistant
Uninstall Viewpoint Media Player
Uninstall Web Cybercoach
Uninstall WordPerfect Office 12
Uninstall Microsoft Plus! DME Installer
Uninstall Microsoft Plus! Photo Story 2LE

Whew! Are you getting the message here? I kept the utils like video and nic managers along with burning software etc. You might note this took a lot of time and required 5(!) reboots. While I could just reinstall the OS, assuming I even had the media, it takes longer because of all of the driver installs that I'd have to do off the web since I didn't get a driver disk.

*** The Big Question ***
So, Dell, please tell me what is the best, fastest way to remove all the junky stuff you install? If you don't have an option that lets me do this in some reasonable amount of time, how about letting someone else know this is a problem for business systems you sell.

BTW, Dell restore and system restore are *not* a good replacement for an OS disk and driver disk (don't make it an "option," just send 'em). Sometimes you have to completely wipe a system and start from scratch.

Since Dell does not listen to us here, its best to write to the corporate office, and suggest to them to either give us the option to click off any add on bloatware at time of sale, or have it installed once, but when you use the Symantec Restore Utility Program, the bloatware is not loaded back on.   Have a separate partition on the system for the bloatware.

They would still have the bloatware once on the system to get any kick backs from those manufactures, and we would have a way to get rid of them if we use the Symantec Restore Utility.

I believe someone has found the answer to this problem. It's unfortunate it wasn't the manufacturer who came up with it.

    And your point is...?

The average n00bs stand just as much of a chance of hosing a system by trying to update Quick Time when they don't know what they're doing.  At least the referenced application does something useful when it runs..

Several suggestions, make a slipstreamed CD with your configuration.  It could be used on any Dell PC.  Possibly buy from the small or medium business, I believe it will have less extra software.

This is what it says on that site near the botton :

"  USE AT YOUR OWN RISK! If this script totally hoses your machine, it’s not my fault!  "

Ctrl-F11 and you're back where you started in a few minutes anyway.  I've got a new Inspiron on the way and this looks interesting.
