Blue-error screen when starting upp
I was playing Battlefieled 2 this day and the screen freezed... so i thoughg; "No problem, just reboot the computer"...
so i did, but when the computer was starting upp and it came to the point where windows it self starts upp (u see a windows flagg and a loading bar.. i use Media Center btw)
But the loading bar dint start loading but what that happent was that i got a blue screen with a error msg. and it said;
A problem has been detected and windows has been shut down to prevent damage to your computer.
if this is the first time you've seen this stop error screen, restart your computer. if this screen appears again. follow these steps:
Disable or uninstall any anti-virus, disk defragmentation or backup utilities. cheack your hard drive configuration, and check for any updated drvers. run CHKDSK /F to check for hard drive corruption, and then restart yourr computer.
Technical information:
*** STOP: 0x00000024 (0x00190203,0x89DF5B48,0xC0000102,0x00000000)
And then it was nothign more to do on that screen..
so i spent my hours searchign thorugh BIOS for any clue but with no luck, i did a "Boot to Utility Partition" that u can boot upp form "boot menu" in the startup progres. and i even tryed to format the computer with another Windwos XP Profesional CD, but i got a error msg then to. i tried to run the CHKDSK /F in DOS-mode that i could run from the Windows XP Profesional CD as a "Repair" option but it said it was the wrong command or somthing, i dint fully understand it.
one more thign i dont understand is that in form of my "Dell Dimension 9150" (witch is 10 days old and totaly destroyed!!:S) i got some lights in the front. at this point i got 1 2 and 3 lighted and on some page in www.dell.no it stands somthign that i must check that the CD, DCD or DISC drive is probably conected, do i have to oppen the computer or what must i do?
Please help me, i'm stating to cry soon...
